At the Wyndham, we pride ourselves on having one of the best menus in the area. Packed full of local, seasonal produce, our homemade dishes will leave you happy and satisfied. Locally sourced

If there’s one thing the Forest of Dean is known for – aside from spectacular scenery and exciting outdoor activities that is – it’s the quality of its produce. As @DeanWye says, “The Forest of Dean and Wye Valley is a primary producer of top quality food and drink. Everything from cider, wine, artisan beer and cheeses, Gloucester old spot bacon and smoked Severn salmon, to organic juices and vegetables, free range chickens and eggs.”

Wherever possible, we use locally-sourced ingredients in our dishes. Many of our best ingredients come from just a few miles away, with a large proportion grown, reared, and harvested in the local area.

Seasonal

As we try to source as many ingredients as possible from the local area, we have a specials board an emphasis on whatever’s in season.

Using the fruit and veg that’s currently ripe, delicious, and ready for eating inevitably adds flavour to our meals and helps us get the best from these outstanding ingredients.

What’s more, as our fruit, veg, and meat don’t have far to travel, these wonderful seasonal supplies reach us in the best condition possible.

Homemade

All of our dishes are made in house by our talented team of chefs. As they’re homemade, we can tailor our meals to suit our customers and cater for any allergies or dietary requirements.

Cooking all our food ourselves also ensures we can keep our standards high and put the best ingredients into every dish.

Traditional dishes

While we like to improve and innovate in the kitchen, all of our meals are based on tried and tested traditional dishes. These hearty, satisfying and delicious plates are guaranteed to fill you up after a day out exploring the Forest of Dean and the local area.

Some of the most popular dishes on our menu include traditional beer-battered fish and chips, homemade steak burger, lamb rump, and slow-roasted belly of pork.

In comparison, vegetarians will enjoy digging into a hearty root vegetable crumble, a mushroom and leek bake, or, a delicious green vegetable bake with all the trimmings on a Sunday.
